To celebrate International Women's Day and our two-year Travelher anniversary, we have created a book! All proceeds will go to the Global Fund for Women.
Today is International Women's Day and as some of you might know, this special day marks Travelher’s anniversary at the same time. It's been two years so far of travel, adventure, quitting jobs, remote work, moving house, adapting to change, more work, sharing our stories and receiving endless inspiring and beautiful ones from you, building our community, trying things out, lots more work, failing forward, learning the ropes of start-up businesses and so much more! It has been a rollercoaster ride and we are full of excitement, love and appreciation for everyone who has joined us and will continue to do so!
To celebrate International Women's Day and our two year Travelher anniversary we've decided instead of just writing about it and making a donation to our favourite charity, we would bring together all the best elements of Travelher for an important cause.
We have been absolutely blown away by all the incredible stories you guys have shared with us over the past two years since Travelher began. Every single one of them has been so inspiring and heartwarming in its own way and shows us every day how many like-minded Travelhers there are in this world :)
What better way to celebrate the wanderlust spirit of Travelher than by immortalising some of your wonderful stories offline and in a tangible format?! That’s right, we are compiling a selection of these incredible adventures in a beautiful book!
The best part is when you order one of these books, ALL of the proceeds will go toward one big donation to the Global Fund for Women - an amazing organisation committed to the fight for gender equality, supporting initiatives involving freedom from violence, sexual rights and health, and political and economic equality. All incredibly worthy causes to get behind and support the amazing work this organisation does. While there are too many causes to list them all, one particular one that stuck out to us is the DefendHer campaign (you can probably see why ;-). This campaign supports female activists fighting for the rights of others in their community, often facing the risk of harassment, violence and even death.
Our book will make a great gift for an aspiring Travelher, an exciting read for everyone as travel obsessed as we are, or just a wonderful addition to your coffee table, with its beautiful imagery and tales of wanderlust. The best thing about it is of course that by purchasing one, you can pat yourself on the back knowing you have helped in the battle toward raising the status of women across the globe!
If you’re keen to be involved in this year’s International Women’s Day project and want to order one of our shiny books to fuel your wanderlust and support the incredible work the Global Fund for Women does every day, please click through on the link and order.
Thank you so much for all your support and interest in what we've done over the past two years. We are so grateful and incredibly excited for everything that's ahead and can't wait to have you join us.
B.J. Neblett once said that "we are the sum total of our experiences." Travelher is the sum total of all our and your experiences we continuously share with each other and we couldn’t do any of this without you. Let's continue sharing our stories and let's continue inspiring each other to not only discover every corner of this world but to make it a better place while we do so ;-)
Lots of love,
